Artistic Textures

Diversifying

I'm always thinking of different ways that an image of my original work can be used.

I worked with a jigsaw puzzle company to have this bluebell picture made into a 1,000 piece puzzle.

It was certainly a challenge to complete. By making it myself I learnt a lot more about using one of my images and it being enlarged 4-5 times.

Each tiny stich became magnified, texture within the same colour band was different and this helped to distinguish areas to connect the pieces.

It was a learning curve for any future puzzles. I sent my puzzle to my niece in New Zealand. She enjoyed the challenge and it is now doing the rounds in a puzzle club.

All the puzzles were sold and I'm hoping that the challenge to complete them is enjoyable.
